Catherine Jane Robinson Berjew was also known as Jane Catherine Robinson Berjew.1 Catherine was born on Wednesday, 5 August 1840 at at sea on the way to Australia. She was born aboard the 'Waterloo'.2,3 She was the daughter of John Berjew and Catherine Jane Iles Fooks. She presumably lived with her parents at Kermode Street, in North Adelaide, in 1848.4 She presumably moved with her parents to Melbourne in 1851.5 She presumably moved with her parents to Circular Head, Tasmania, in April 1856.5

She married George James King, at St. Paul's on Wednesday, 8 April 1863 at Stanley, Tasmania. She was 22 and her husband George was 27..6

Catherine died on 8 August 1875 at Circular Head, Tasmania, at age 35.1 Her body was interred at Stanley Pioneer Burial Ground at Stanley, Tasmania.7
