Grahame was born on Sunday, 15 March 1925 at the Melbourne suburb of Mordialloc. He was the son of Albert Henry Fooks and Annette Margaretha Ellen Louise Lauer. Grahame was serving with the Australia Navy in WWII. At this time his occupation was given as as a printer.
Grahame died on 25 April 2000 at Cookton, Queensland, at age 75.1 His body was interred at Cooktown Cemetery on 27 April 2000 at Cookton, Queensland.1
