Sarah was born circa 1834 at Cork.1 She was the daughter of Kyrl Allen Deane and Mary Lucinda Gregg. She presumably lived with her parents at Pembroke Street, in Cork, in 1837.2 She presumably moved with her parents to Boulogne-Sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais, France, circa 1848.3

She married Henry Sharpe, a clerk in holy orders, in a Church of England Ceremony at St. Pancras Old Church on Saturday, 26 December 1857 at St. Pancras, London.. Sarah and Henry went on to have six known children together.4,5,6

Sarah and her husband Henry emigrated from Liverpool on 30 December 1857.6 Sarah arrived at Canada circa 1858.


Sarah Hargrave Deane was recorded as the spouse of Henry Sharpe in the 1871 census at Hampstead, London.7

Her father died 14 December 1878 at the approximate age of 78.

Her mother died 10 December 1886. Her body was perhaps interred on 4 February 1914 at Kent.8
