Malcom was born on Thursday, 30 December 1841 at Parramatta, New South Wales.1 He was the son of Donald Nicholson and Margaret Brown. Malcom Nicholson was baptized at St. John's on Sunday, 2 January 1842 at Parramatta, New South Wales. Presbyterian. This seems to be the first baptism of the year in the church.2
Malcom died circa 19 April 1843 at Sydney.3 His body was interred at the parish of St. Andrews on 20 April 1843 at Sydney.4
